Closure Event

On May 25, 2023, the closing-event of the project was organized with the title: “Collaboration to establish increased situational awareness – CERETAB”. The action is co-financed by 95% by the mechanism of the ”EU actions” of the Internal Security Fund/Borders and Visas Sector of the European Union and by 5% by the national resources of Greece and the Republic of Cyprus, with a total budget of € 1.023.990,00€ not including VAT.

The project concerns the improvement of the accurate picture of the situation at the Greek-Cypriot borders, through the strengthening of cooperation and exchange of information between the National Coordination Centres of the two countries. More specifically, within the framework of the project, a Common Information Exchange Platform was developed and the procurement of two Unmanned Aerial Systems was completed.

The partners involved in this project are, on the Greek side, the European and Development Programmes Management Agency of the Ministry of Citizen Protection and the Ionian University, while on the Cypriot side the Cyprus Police and the University of Cyprus.
